U/W Underwater Acoustic Signal Analysis system (UASA)

DSIT’s Underwater Acoustic Signal Analysis system processes and analyzes all types of acoustic signals radiated by various sources and received by naval sonar systems (submarine, surface and air platforms, fixed bottom moored sonar systems, etc.)

Signals are:
  • Platform radiated noise
  • Torpedo noise
  • Sonar transmissions
  • Biologic noise

The UASA applies advanced processing algorithms to derive classification and identification parameters of the signal source.

      The system:

    • Is purely COTS
    • Is based only on PC / Windows XP
    • Enables up to 10 operators to work simultaneously on different signals
    • Supports the performance of more than 64 real-time simultaneous signal                    processing channels per operator
    • Can receive sonar signals in various formats, both analog and digital
    • Includes a database server that stores and manages both raw and processed data

UASA: Processes and analyzes all types of acoustic signals to derive classification and identification.
