DSIT Solutions Ltd. (DSIT) announced today that it has won the bid to supply the Israeli Navy with a state-of-the-art training simulator for its Dolphin submarines. The contract is valued at approximately $8M (US).
The Israeli Navy currently operates three German-made Dolphin submarines, which were supplied at the end of the 1990’s. The trainer to be supplied by DSIT will simulate all sonar and weapons systems on board the submarine. It will allow the Dolphin tactical team of officers and operators to practice on shore in an environment that duplicates that of an actual submarine at sea. A project of this nature places DSIT at the leading technological edge of sonar and acoustics training and simulation.
